Medinilla matthewii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Sumatra. Nama ilmiah Medinilla matthewii diperkenalkan oleh Henry Nicholas Ridley pada tahun 1946.
