Mentzelia mollis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Loasaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Oregon hingga Idaho dan Nevada. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan soft blazingstar. Nama ilmiah Mentzelia mollis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Morton Eaton Peck pada tahun 1945.
