Mimosa dolens subsp. acerba merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia timur hingga Brazil dan Paraguay. Nama ilmiah Mimosa dolens subsp. acerba diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1991.
