Mimosa extensa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan) yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil timur. Nama ilmiah Mimosa extensa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1842.
