Mimosa gracilis var. stipitata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil tengah. Nama ilmiah Mimosa gracilis var. stipitata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Rupert Charles Barneby pada tahun 1991.
