Mimosa itatiaiensis merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil tenggara. Nama ilmiah Mimosa itatiaiensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Per Karl Hjalmar Dusén pada tahun 1903.
