Mimosa mollis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Mimosa mollis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1842.
