Mimosa polyantha merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko, Kolombia. Nama ilmiah Mimosa polyantha diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1842.
