Mimosa setosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil hingga Paraguay. Nama ilmiah Mimosa setosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1842.
