Kismis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Polygonaceae. Tumbuhan yang dikenal dengan nama ilmiah Muehlenbeckia platyclada ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papuasia. Nama ilmiah Muehlenbeckia platyclada pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ferdinand von Mueller pada tahun 1865.
