Muehlenbeckia volcanica merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Polygonaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Chiapas) hingga Venezuela barat laut dan Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Muehlenbeckia volcanica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1848.
