Niphaea mexicana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Gesneriaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko tengah dan barat daya. Nama ilmiah Niphaea mexicana diperkenalkan oleh Conrad Vernon Morton pada tahun 1936.
