Nitrophila occidentalis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Oregon selatan hingga Meksiko barat laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan boraxweed. Nama ilmiah Nitrophila occidentalis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Horace Bénédict Alfred Moquin-Tandon pada tahun 1871.
