Ocotea chrysobalanoides merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Meksiko (Chiapas). Nama ilmiah Ocotea chrysobalanoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Cyrus Longworth Lundell pada tahun 1974.
