Ocotea leptobotra merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Ocotea leptobotra pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hipólito Ruiz López pada tahun 1889.
