Ocotea ovalifolia adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Ekuador hingga Peru. Nama ilmiah Ocotea ovalifolia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hipólito Ruiz López pada tahun 1889.
