Ocotea platyphylla adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga El Salvador. Nama ilmiah Ocotea platyphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Cyrus Longworth Lundell pada tahun 1991.
