Ocotea tampicensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko timur. Nama ilmiah Ocotea tampicensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Daniel Friedrich Meissner pada tahun 1882.
