Oxytropis japonica var. sericea merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) di wilayah Jepang (Hokkaido). Nama ilmiah Oxytropis japonica var. sericea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Gen-ichi Koidzumi pada tahun 1918.
