Oxytropis lagopus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) di wilayah Amerika Serikat barat laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan haresfoot locoweed. Nama ilmiah Oxytropis lagopus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1834.
