Paspalum robustum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Oaxaca), Kosta Rika, hingga Brazil timur laut dan Trinidad. Nama ilmiah Paspalum robustum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Albert Spear Hitchcock pada tahun 2006.
