Pectis glaucescens merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Florida hingga Karibia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sanddune chinchweed. Nama ilmiah Pectis glaucescens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexandre Henri Gabriel de Cassini pada tahun 1986.
