Pectis linearis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan, Karibia, hingga Venezuela (Falcon). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan west indian chinchweed. Nama ilmiah Pectis linearis pertama kali dipublikasikan pada tahun 1832.
