Pfaffia velutina adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Pfaffia velutina pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1826.
