Phylica retrorsa merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Rhamnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Provinsi Cape sisi barat laut. Nama ilmiah Phylica retrorsa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Meyer pada tahun 1860.
