Phylica strigosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rhamnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Phylica strigosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Peter Jonas Bergius pada tahun 1767.
