Phyllostegia haliakalae merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii (Maui, Molokai). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan lanai phyllostegia. Nama ilmiah Phyllostegia haliakalae diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Heinrich Wawra von Fernsee pada tahun 1872.
