Pigea serrata merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Violaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan hingga Limpopo. Nama ilmiah Pigea serrata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler pada tahun 2021.
