Piper acre merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Piperaceae (suku sirih-sirihan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Jawa. Nama ilmiah Piper acre pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ludwig Blume pada tahun 1826.
