Piper argyrites merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Piperaceae (suku sirih-sirihan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Thailand selatan hingga Malaya. Nama ilmiah Piper argyrites pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henry Nicholas Ridley pada tahun 1912.
