Piper augustum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Piperaceae (suku sirih-sirihan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Piper augustum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Edward Rudge pada tahun 1805.
