Piper riparense merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau pohon dari famili Piperaceae (suku sirih-sirihan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kosta Rika hingga Panama.
