Piper solmsianum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Piperaceae (suku sirih-sirihan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil. Nama ilmiah Piper solmsianum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Anne Casimir Pyrame de Candolle pada tahun 1869.
