Potentilla osterhoutii var. saxosa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nevada hingga Arizona. Nama ilmiah Potentilla osterhoutii var. saxosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 1945.
