Rhamnus smithii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rhamnaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Colorado hingga New Mexico. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan smith's buckthorn. Nama ilmiah Rhamnus smithii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Edward Lee Greene pada tahun 1896.
