Rhododendron glischrum subsp. rude merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Arunachal Pradesh hingga China (Yunnan barat laut). Nama ilmiah Rhododendron glischrum subsp. rude diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Harry Frank Tagg pada tahun 1978.
