Rhododendron haematodes subsp. chaetomallum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tibet tenggara hingga China (Yunnan barat laut) dan Myanmar timur laut. Nama ilmiah Rhododendron haematodes subsp. chaetomallum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Isaac Bayley Balfour pada tahun 1979.
