Rhododendron melantherum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan epifit dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua New Guinea (Pegunungan Schrader). Nama ilmiah Rhododendron melantherum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Rudolf Schlechter pada tahun 1918.
