Rhododendron yakuinsulare merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Jepang (Yakushima). Nama ilmiah Rhododendron yakuinsulare diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Genkei Masamune pada tahun 1930.
