Rhus caudata merupakan tumbuhan hemiepifit dari famili Anacardiaceae yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu atau pohon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua. Nama ilmiah Rhus caudata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Adolf Georg Lauterbach pada tahun 1920.
