Rhus nelsonii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Anacardiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Guerrero). Nama ilmiah Rhus nelsonii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Fred Alexander Barkley pada tahun 1937.
