Rhynchospora radicans subsp. microcephala merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Rhynchospora radicans subsp. microcephala diperkenalkan oleh Carlo Luigi Giuseppe Bertero pada tahun 1984.
