Rhynchotechum ellipticum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Gesneriaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Nepal hingga China selatan dan Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Rhynchotechum ellipticum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nathaniel Wallich pada tahun 1845.
