Rumex californicus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Polygonaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Oregon hingga New Mexico dan Meksiko (Baja California Norte). Nama ilmiah Rumex californicus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Karl Heinz Rechinger pada tahun 1936.
