Salsola squarrosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Yunani. Nama ilmiah Salsola squarrosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian von Steven pada tahun 1849.
