Saussurea sericea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Tibet selatan hingga Sikkim. Nama ilmiah Saussurea sericea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Yi Ling Chen pada tahun 1981.
