Schoenoplectiella praelongata merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Asia hingga Australia utara. Nama ilmiah Schoenoplectiella praelongata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Jean Louis Marie Poiret pada tahun 2003.
