Schweiggeria fruticosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Violaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil timur dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Schweiggeria fruticosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Curt Polycarp Joachim Sprengel pada tahun 1821.
