Scleria tenella adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Scleria tenella diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1837.
