Senecio acarinus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Peru. Nama ilmiah Senecio acarinus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ángel Lulio Cabrera pada tahun 1955.
